HAND CARVED WAVING HARDWOOD FLAGS

Waving Hardwood Flags are hand milled in house from solid chunks of hardwood. Each piece needs to be milled to certain thickness and width for each size flag. Some flags stripes will need to be 4" thick X 4" deep to allow for carving and proper porportions. Sometimes finding pieces of hardwood this thick can prove difficult.

Once Milled to proper dimensions, the pieces are joined together seamlessly in the requested flag layout.

Next the flags are hand carved to make them appear Waving. This process is very labor intensive and time consuming. The average 36" flag requires 20+ hours of Labor. After carving and fine sanding, the flags stars and details go on. All flags are finished with a natural hardwood oil finish that hardens and protects the wood from the inside out. All flags come with heavy duty mounting hardware and inlayed THF Logo on back.

Every detail on each flag is the exact proportional size based off the US standards for the American Flag.

The Most common Hardwood Species combinations are Hard Maple and Padauk / Walnut and Hard Maple / Walnut, Maple, Padauk / Ash and Bloodwood / Ash and Walnut.

Flags can be customized with basic designs and text directly on the flag or cut from wood or metal and mounted inches off the flag to appear floating.

Flags can be framed with any hardwood species to take them to the next level.
